How is commission calculated?

On net revenue after discount — the amount the customer actually pays. If you promote with a discount code, commission is calculated on the discounted price, not the list price. The rate and basis are recorded on every single commission so the figure is always auditable.

What if my traffic has no referrer? I send visitors from AI assistants and social.

That is exactly why we support promo-code attribution as a first-class path, not an afterthought. Every partner gets a tracking link and a promo code. If a customer types your code at checkout, you are credited even when the browser sends no referrer at all — which is normal for ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and in-app social browsers. Your dashboard shows this traffic in its own row rather than hiding it under Direct.

What happens if a customer uses a different partner's code?

Promo code beats cookie. If someone arrives through your link but redeems another partner's code, that partner is credited. The superseded source is recorded on the conversion, so nothing is silently lost and any dispute can be checked.

When do commissions become payable?

Commissions sit pending during a refund hold. After the hold clears, and provided the order was not refunded, they approve automatically and count toward your balance. We'll confirm the exact hold window when you're approved.

Once your approved balance clears the minimum, request a payout from your dashboard. You can either upload your own PDF invoice or let us issue a self-billed invoice. We pay by bank transfer or PayPal and record the payment reference against your payout.

What are the exact commission rate and terms?

We tailor rates to your audience and volume, so we share the specific numbers once we've reviewed your application — or reach out to partners@getwanderly.com if you'd like to discuss first. Every commission records the rate and basis used, so what you earn is always auditable.

Do I need to submit a tax form?

Yes — a W-9 if you are a US person, or a W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E if you are not. You can upload it from the Settings tab of your partner dashboard. We cannot release a payout until it is on file.

What traffic is not allowed?

No bidding on the Wanderly brand name in paid search, no coupon-site code leaking, no incentivized or bot clicks, no misleading claims about coverage or speeds, and no trademark-infringing domains. The full list is in the program terms.

Share your tracking link, your promo code, or both. The link sets a long-lived first-party cookie server-side. The code works even when there is no referrer and no cookie at all.

Hold, approve, pay

Commission stays pending while the refund window runs, then approves automatically. Request a payout once your approved balance clears the minimum.

Tell us where your traffic comes from. We review applications manually — usually within two business days — and approve partners whose audience is genuinely travelling. Once approved you get your link, your code and dashboard access immediately, along with your exact commission rate and payout terms.
