Buying with confidence: plan terms, payments and support

Choose travel data with the plan details clear before you pay. A country name and a low starting price are only part of the decision: the allowance, validity, activation rules and payment total need to fit your trip too.

Wanderly sells prepaid travel eSIM plans. This guide brings together the checks to make before purchase and the steps to take if a payment or connection needs attention.

Check the plan, not just the destination

  • Coverage: open the selected plan's country list and check every stop where you need data. Two regional plans can cover different countries. Country coverage does not guarantee signal in every building, rural area or transit route.
  • Allowance: distinguish a fixed total from a daily allowance. For an unlimited plan, check its high-speed allowance, reset period and reduced-speed terms. An unlimited label does not promise unlimited high-speed data.
  • Hotspot and work: check whether tethering is allowed and whether it has a separate limit. Network speed, latency and IP location can vary; do not assume a local IP address or guaranteed video-call performance.
  • Activation: check what starts the validity clock, any installation deadline and where installation is allowed. Some plans start on installation; others start on their first supported network connection.
  • Device and calls: check your exact model and carrier-unlock status. A data-only plan does not include a phone number for ordinary calls or SMS; choose a plan explicitly including calls and texts if you need them.

Understand the total and the billing name

Review the final amount and currency before authorizing payment. Zotlo payments are tax-inclusive. For card payments through Stripe, Stripe's checkout page shows the final total before you pay. A catalog price or price-per-GB comparison is not necessarily every buyer's final checkout total.

Your checkout and receipt identify the payment provider. Zotlo may appear in billing information for a Wanderly purchase. Zotlo handles card and PayPal payments. Card payments through Stripe are billed by Wanderly Technologies LLC. Match the receipt, date, amount and purchase email before deciding whether an unfamiliar charge belongs to your order.

Ordinary prepaid plan purchases do not automatically renew, and the free-eSIM card check described below never charges you. Wallet top-ups are also separate from buying a data plan; review their checkout terms.

The free-eSIM card check

An eligible free eSIM has a fixed allowance and does not renew into a paid data plan. Availability, data and validity are shown in the app. There is no universal 500MB promise, and completing verification does not by itself approve a claim.

If a card check is requested, you enter a card on a secure Stripe page and your bank confirms it. You are not charged, and no subscription is created, so there is nothing to cancel later.

Stripe handles your card details. We keep the card type, issuing country and a protected card identifier to help prevent repeated free claims. We never see or store your full card number or security code.

If payment succeeds but the eSIM is missing

  1. Check your order history and the purchase email, including spam, for the order and installation details.
  2. If a charge appears without an order, contact support with the purchase email, receipt reference, date and amount before paying again.
  3. For activation trouble, keep the installed eSIM and its instructions. Check the selected data line, roaming setting, coverage area and APN before considering removal; a QR code may not be reusable.

Refunds are reviewed against the purchase terms

An unused plan is not an automatic refund guarantee. Eligibility depends on the purchase terms, delivery, access, activation and the problem reported. Read the full Refund Policy before buying and contact support before installing or using a plan you may need to return. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by this guide.

For Zotlo purchases, use the Zotlo account portal or support@zotlo.com. For card purchases through Stripe, contact support@getwanderly.com. For wallet or direct crypto purchases, or an earlier purchase paid through Whop, contact Wanderly support.

Get help and check our policies

Contact support@getwanderly.com with your order reference, destination, device model and the error you see. Never include a full card number, security code, password or installation QR code in a public review or forum post.

The Terms of Service identify the company and applicable purchase terms. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling, and the editorial and comparison policies explain how Wanderly presents information about products it sells. These policies are linked in the website footer.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wanderly guarantee a local IP address?

No universal local-IP guarantee applies across the catalog. Routing, latency and service availability vary by plan and network. Ask support about the specific plan before buying if IP location matters for your work.

Does unlimited mean unlimited high-speed hotspot data?

No. Check the selected plan's high-speed allowance, reduced-speed terms and hotspot restrictions before buying.

Will the catalog price be my final payment total?

Review checkout before paying. Zotlo payments are tax-inclusive, and Stripe's checkout page shows the final total for card payments through Stripe. The checkout also confirms the payment currency.

Does the free-eSIM card check charge me or start a subscription?

No. The bank confirms the card on a secure Stripe page; nothing is charged and nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel.

Check the complete eligibility rules and request route for your payment method.
