Is the Wanderly app free?
Yes. The app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. You pay only for the eSIM plans you buy, and the price of each plan is shown before checkout.
Do I need the app to buy a Wanderly eSIM?
No. You can buy any plan on getwanderly.com with guest checkout, and the eSIM and its installation steps are delivered by email. The app adds things the website cannot do: notifications before a plan expires, eSIM details you can open offline and the free eSIM trial for first-time users.
Which phones does the app work on?
The app runs on iPhone and Android. To install a travel eSIM, your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Support depends on the exact model and where it was bought, so check your device on our compatibility page before you buy.
I bought a plan on the website. Will it show in the app?
Sign in to the app with the same Wanderly account you use on the website to see the eSIMs bought on that account. Plans bought with guest checkout are delivered by email, and the installation steps in that email work without the app.
