Search for a Saily promo code and the first page of results will quote you five different numbers: 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 35%. They cannot all be right, and the disagreement is the most useful thing on that page — it tells you exactly what kind of discount programme Saily runs.
Disclosure up front: we sell travel eSIMs too, so treat the comparison section accordingly.
Why the percentages disagree
Saily, which is operated by Nord Security — the company behind NordVPN — uses the same discount model as the rest of that group: personalised partner and creator codes, not a single official coupon.
That means there is no canonical "Saily discount code". Each publisher, reviewer and creator gets their own, and the percentage attached to it is negotiated individually. A site quoting 15% and a site quoting 5% can both be telling the truth about their own code.
Three practical consequences:
- The number varies by source, so the highest one you can find genuinely is the best available — unlike providers who run one flat creator discount.
- Only one applies per order. They do not stack with each other or with a seasonal sale.
- Codes expire and get renegotiated. A percentage quoted six months ago is not evidence about today.
This is also why we are not publishing a code list. A page of specific Saily codes is wrong within a couple of months, and the sites that maintain such lists are largely copying each other rather than testing them. If you want one, check two or three sources and use the best code that actually applies at checkout.
Saily does not publish a public code itself
Saily's own site does not advertise a coupon. Everything circulating comes through partners, which has one consequence worth knowing: there is no "official" code to hold out for. If a partner code applies, that is the discount.
Nord Security also runs periodic seasonal promotions across its brands — the same rhythm as NordVPN's sales — and those occasionally beat the standard partner discount. If your trip is not imminent, that is the one case where waiting is rational.
"Coupon", "voucher" and "promo code" are the same thing
As with every provider in this market, these are searched as separate products and are not. Saily has one discount field at checkout. Coupon code, voucher code, promo code and discount code all describe the same string typed into the same box.
The percentage is rarely the deciding number
Here is the part the coupon sites have no incentive to tell you: on a typical short trip, the difference between a 5% code and a 15% code is often smaller than the difference between two plan sizes.
Two things move the total more than any code:
Buying the right amount of data. Overbuying by one tier usually costs more than the best available discount saves. Our guide to how much data you actually need when travelling has the real figures per app.
Checking regional versus single-country pricing. For multi-country trips a regional plan is frequently cheaper than two single-country plans, discount included.
Work out the honest cost per gigabyte for your trip first, then apply the best code you have. Doing it in that order is the whole game — see finding the cheapest eSIM for the method.
Is Saily any good, discount aside?
Worth separating from the price question. Saily is a competent, well-supported product with broad coverage, and it benefits from Nord Security's infrastructure and support operation — which is not nothing in a market with a lot of thin resellers.
We have written a full assessment in our Saily eSIM review, and compared it directly against the market leader in Saily vs Airalo. Short version: solid, rarely the outright cheapest.
How Wanderly compares
We built Wanderly so there is no code to find. We show the plan price directly and compare across providers, so the number on the page is the number you pay — no percentage hunt, no code that turns out to be dead at checkout.
That is a trade-off, not a clean win. If you find a genuine 15% Saily code and Saily has the right plan for your destination, that is a real saving and you should take it. Where we tend to do better is on shorter trips and smaller plans, and on not making the price depend on how long you are willing to search.

One thing to check first
Make sure your phone supports eSIM before you buy anything from anyone. Our compatibility checker gives a straight yes or no by model.
