Why most codes you find online don't work
The "Airalo promo code" search results are dominated by coupon aggregators whose business model is affiliate commission, not accuracy. A few patterns to recognise:
- Expired codes left up deliberately. A page listing 30 codes where 28 are dead still ranks, still gets clicks, and still earns commission when you give up and click through to buy anyway.

That matters for expectations. A 15% discount on a $9.99 plan saves you $1.50. If a different provider is $2 cheaper on the same allowance, the discount code is the wrong thing to be optimising.
The thing coupon sites won't tell you

- Don't activate early. Most plans start counting when they first connect to a network at your destination, not at purchase — but install ahead of time so you're online when you land.
