EID stands for eUICC Identifier (eUICC = embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card — the technical name for the eSIM chip). It's a 32-digit number that's permanently tied to your device's hardware, not to any particular plan or carrier. Your phone has exactly one EID for its whole life, no matter how many eSIM profiles you add or remove.
That's the key difference from an ICCID, which identifies a specific eSIM *plan*. One EID (the chip) can hold many ICCIDs (the plans) over time.

On iPhone

When you actually need your EID
