Ghana eSIM plans at a glance

Wanderly lists 22 fixed-data Ghana plans, ranging from 1GB up to 20GB over 7 to 365 days. Prices start at $3.99, and the lowest cost per gigabyte is $1.97/GB on the 20GB 30-day plan.

Unlimited day-passes are also available from $3.99 per day, billed per day rather than per gigabyte. All 28 Ghana plans can be topped up without reinstalling the eSIM.

Every plan is data-only and installs from a QR code, so your home number stays active on its own line. Validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in Ghana, not at purchase, which means you can install before you fly.

    🇬🇭 About eSIMs in Ghana

Ghana is relatively easy to navigate with mobile data. Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast and Elmina are well served, making an eSIM useful for ride apps, maps, accommodation messages and coordinating tours. Coverage becomes less consistent inside forest and wildlife areas such as Kakum or Mole and on parts of the northern road network. Save the next route while you are still in town rather than assuming every park visit will stay online.

Most travelers use far less data on a cultural or wildlife itinerary than on a work trip. WhatsApp and maps are light; video calls, streaming and photo backups are not. Install the eSIM over Wi-Fi before departure, label it Ghana, and keep your regular SIM available for calls and codes. After landing in Accra, make the Ghana line your cellular-data source and test it before leaving the airport. Current allowances and durations are shown in the plan list above.
