    Yes — every iPhone 13 model has eSIM support, including the mini, Pro and Pro Max, with the single exception of models sold in mainland China.

    Regional caveats and limits

    • Devices bought in mainland China ship without eSIM hardware and cannot be converted.
    • Hong Kong and Macau models of the iPhone 13 mini also lack eSIM; the other Hong Kong models support it.
    • The phone must be carrier-unlocked to use a third-party travel eSIM.
    • You can store several eSIM profiles and keep two active simultaneously.
    • iOS 16.2 or later is recommended — earlier versions had eSIM Quick Transfer limitations.

    How to set up an eSIM on iPhone 13

    1. Connect to Wi-Fi and turn off any VPN.
    2. Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code.
    3. Scan the code from your order email, or tap Enter Details Manually to type the SM-DP+ address and activation code.
    4. Label the plan ("Travel") and keep your existing line as the default for calls.
    5. After landing: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > select the travel eSIM, then enable Data Roaming on that line.
